Meet Jevenie and her family

What happens next?
New Story gives 100% of your donations (including cc processing fees) to our incredibly trustworthy and competent local partner, Mission of Hope, who has local Haitian contractors ready to start building. It will take about two months to build the home, and every donor will get an update once the home is complete.

Their Story
Jevenie is a 24 year-old charcoal saleswoman who works hard to ensure her 4 children are given an education.

Jevenie moved to Leveque when the 2010 earthquake made her homeless. It was hard for her to even afford a rented tent at that time.

One of the greatest challenges for Jevenie’s family is the heat in the tent. She says that it is especially difficult for the children. Jevenie says that she will be so happy and grateful when she receives her new home. She will no longer have to worry about the heat, weather, or threat of violence.

Together, we can provide a safe and healthy home that will have a lasting impact on Jevenie’s family
