Meet Marie-Monique and her family

What happens next?
New Story gives 100% of your donations (including cc processing fees) to our incredibly trustworthy and competent local partner, Mission of Hope, who has local Haitian contractors ready to start building. It will take about 1-2 months to build the home, and every donor will get an update once the home is complete.

Their Story
Marie-Monique (age 26, saleswoman) and her husband Jimmy Jean (age 27, moto-tap driver) came to Leveque from Cabaret after the 2010 earthquake when they heard about the tent distribution.

For several years, they lived in a tent with their two children, Jamesly and Jessica, until a storm in 2012 destroyed it. Since then, they have been living in her sister’s block home with 8 other people. This living situation is not stable nor guaranteed and has a negative impact on the state of mind and productivity of the entire family.

Help us provide Marie-Monique’s family with their own home, protected from sanitation-borne diseases, harmful weather, and violence.
