Meet Olwich and family

What happens next?
New Story gives 100% of your donations (including cc processing fees) local partner who has local Haitian contractors ready to start building. It will take about 2 months to build the home, and every donor will get an update once the home is complete.

Their Story
Olwich is a 29-year-old farmer whose dream is to have a house.

After the earthquake, Olwich’s home was destroyed, so he came to Leveque because of the tent distribution.

“I keep getting sick [living in the tent],” he says, “The tent is so hot that during the day, I cannot be in my home.” Imagine not being able to seek refuge in your own home because of the unbearable conditions. This is no way to live.

Despite working hard, Olwich has been unable to move out of his tent.

With your donation, Olwich will have safe and shelter that will provide opportunity and hope in his life.

“I will be so happy to have a house, and I will say thank you to those who helped me find the house.”
