Meet Andre and family

What happens next?
New Story gives 100% of your donations (including cc processing fees) to our incredibly trustworthy local partner, Mission of Hope, who has local Haitian contractors ready to start building. It will take about two months to build the home, and every donor will get an update once the home is complete.

Their Story
Andre, a single father, lives with his daughter, Jonika, in their tent home. During the earthquake of 2010 their home in Cabaret collapsed on top of her wife while she was pregnant with her daughter. Thankfully, neither she or the baby were injured badly.

The home we are funding means more than a roof over their heads. Security will allow Andre and his family to focus on earning income and excelling in school instead of the daily fears associated with living in a post-disaster camp.
