Safety

When a natural disaster destroys a home, the family is forced to “live” in a tent or in the streets. This exposes the family - especially women and kids, to severe dangers. Among these dangers are theft, child abduction, sex trafficking, severe weather, and illness resulting from no access to clean, basic sanitation.

A new home provides safety from these dangers.

Health and Sanitation

Without access to clean, basic sanitation, families are exposed to life-threatening health risks. Poor sanitation and hygiene have many other serious repercussions beyond public health.

Children are denied their right to an education and poor farmers are less productive due to illness, health systems are overwhelmed and national economies suffer.

Without adequate sanitation and hygiene, sustainable development is impossible. The homes we build have full access to clean sanitation facilities. This is a big deal, with life-changing implications..

Hope

Families without a safe home have limited hope for their future. As the years go by, it can drain the life out of someone. A home will provide new energy, a renewed purpose and real, lasting hope. We believe hope makes change possible.
