What happens next?
New Story gives 100% of your donations (including cc processing fees) to our incredibly trustworthy and competent local partner, Mission of Hope, who has local Haitian contractors ready to start building. It will take about two months to build the home, and every donor will get an update once the home is complete.

Their Story
Anisie is a farmer who lives with his wife, 3 children, and 5 grandchildren.

His home in Cabaret was destroyed in the 2010 earthquake, and for 5 years this three generation family has been living in a small, tarp tent that has negatively effected health and well being.

Anisie is most excited about sanitation and the happiness a new home will provide for his children and grandchildren. He says “I will be like a gentleman, fresh and clean because of my new home”. This statement illustrates how seemingly small luxuries - like access to clean water and basic sanitation - play a transformational role in quality of life.

Thanks to the generous donation of the Chien Family - this family will have a new home and protection from violence, theft, and sanitation-borne illness. This family and future generations now have a foundation of stability to re-build their lives.
