What happens next?

Their Story
Marie (business woman) and Francin (construction worker) have 4 children, and they dream of their kids finishing secondary school and going to a university. Because they did not have this opportunity, they work hard to provide an education for their children. 

Currently, Francin is the only one living in the blue tarp tents, because the children were constantly becoming sick from the living conditions. Marie and the children live in a nearby town, while Francin stays in Leveque to work on construction. The harsh tent conditions make Francin’s eyes hurt often and affect his mind, he told us.  

Francin looks forward to the day when he can be reunited with his family and know that his home is safe, unlike the tent that leaves him vulnerable to violence, theft, and disease. 

With a new home, “I know my children will be happy because when I talk to them on the phone they always say, ‘Papa, I miss you,’” Francin says.Together, we can reunite this family and provide a safe and healthy environment for their kids to grow and pursue an education.
