New Story gives 100% of your donations (including cc processing fees) to our incredibly trustworthy and competent local partner, Mission of Hope, who has local Haitian contractors ready to start building. It will take about 2 months to build the home, and every donor will get an update once the home is complete.
Their Story
Gesson is a 46 year-old farmer whose Leveque home was destroyed in the earthquake. Five years ago, she was given a tent that was meant to be a temporary home, but today his family still lives in conditions that she calls unlivable.
Gesson works hard to take care of her large family of 9. With only one room in their small tent, she has been forced to send some of his children to live with others due to limited space.
In addition to the small space, Gesson’s family struggles with the heat, potential violence, and risk of sanitation-borne diseases. When Gesson receives a new house, her family will be reunited. “I will be full of joy!” she says.
Together, we can provide Gesson’s family with a home that protects, improves health, and makes seizing opportunities possible.
Investments from private donors allows New Story to pass 100% of public donations straight to home projects.
