What happens next?
New Story gives 100% of your donations (including cc processing fees) to our incredibly trustworthy and competent local partner, Mission of Hope, who has local Haitian contractors ready to start building. It will take about two months to build the home, and every donor will get an update once the home is complete.

Their Story
Marie is a 23 year old aspiring cosmetologist living with her partner Wodson (27) and their daughter Migueletha (3).

Marie has always lived in Leveque but her home was destroyed in the 2010 earthquake. For her, the hardest part about living in a tent for the past 5 years has been separation from her child. Since birth, Migueletha has had to live with her grandmother because the tent is unsafe and unsanitary - leaving children vulnerable to illness. Every time it rains, their floor turns to mud and all of their belongings become wet.

A new home would mean reuniting Marie, Wodson, and their daughter under one roof, protected from violence, theft, and sanitation related illness.
