Their Story
Miracienne lives alone in her tent in Leveque. She migrated to the town after her home in Cabaret was destroyed because she heard that an organization was giving out tents - and at that point she had no shelter. For five years, as a woman living alone in a thin tent, Miracienne has been at high risk of rape and burglary.

She is a business woman selling commodities like rice, beans, and oil but her livelihood is at risk because everything she sells gets wet when rain pours through her tent.

Furthermore, her tent is situated between three outhouses from which the smell combined with heat makes her ill. The lack of security in her tent limits where Miracienne can go. She cannot even visit her sick father because, without family, she has no one to watch over her few belongings.
