Meet Monique and her family

What happens next?
New Story gives 100% of your donations (including cc processing fees) to our incredibly trustworthy and competent local partner, Mission of Hope, who has local Haitian contractors ready to start building. It will take about two months to build the home, and every donor will get an update once the home is complete.

Their Story
Raymond (farmer, not pictured) and Monique (merchant) live with their three children (ages 22, 16, and 1). This family of 5 works hard but their earnings are not enough to propel them out of their current living situation - the tent that was meant to be a short-term solution after the 2010 earthquake.

The home we are funding means more than a roof over their heads. Security will allow Raymond, Monique, and their children to focus on earning income and excelling in school instead of the daily fears associated with living in a post-disaster camp.
