Nancy and her 4 family members lived in Waff Jeremie (downtown Port au Prince) before the earthquake of 2010 of destroyed their home. While their family works hard each day they do not have the resources to build a new home.
We can remove Nancy and her family from this dangerous environment and into a safe home. This would bring them safety, security, reliable sanitation and hope.
Together, we can change their story
Investments from private donors allows New Story to pass 100% of public donations straight to home projects.
Nancy told our local partner, Mission of Hope, that now with the security of her new home, “I’d like to start a business.” She continued, “Yes, I’ll start a garden. I'll plant lemon trees, bananas, flowers, and corn.”
After five horrific years of living in a dangerous tent, on March 23rd, 2015, Nancy and her family moved into their new house – a place for peace, security, legacy, and opportunity.
Nancy, her children, and New Story would like to thank each and every donor!
