Meet Saint Hubert and her family

What happens next?
New Story gives 100% of your donations (including cc processing fees) to our incredibly trustworthy and competent local partner, Mission of Hope, who has local Haitian contractors ready to start building. It will take about two months to build the home, and every donor will get an update once the home is complete.

Their Story
Saint Hubert is a 53 year-old melon and corn farmer who moved to Leveque from the mountains to send her children to school.

Her household is made up of four women, three men, and two boys. The Eliazer family struggles to live in their tent due to rain, wind, and heat inside of the tent. Saint Hubert describes the family having to leave the tent for the entire day when it gets hot because it makes the 2 year-old sick. She is very hopeful for a home, because she knows it will help her family in countless ways.

This hardworking family has to worry about theft, bad weather destroying their home, sex trafficking, and violence on a daily basis. But those days are numbered because together, we can shelter them from danger so that they can all reach their full potential.
