Meet Widly and her family

What happens next?
New Story gives 100% of your donations (including cc processing fees) to our incredibly trustworthy and competent local partner, Mission of Hope, who has local Haitian contractors ready to start building. It will take about two months to build the home, and every donor will get an update once the home is complete.

Their Story
Widly and her partner Hougens Pierre (an ice salesman) live in a tent with their two children who dream of being a doctor and nurse.

After her home in Bercy was destroyed in the earthquake, Widly moved to Leveque and began working for the organization distributing tents in order to receive one. Five years later, she still lives in that tent, which gives her eye trouble and makes her dizzy. She cannot stay in the tent for a long time due to the heat.

She dreams of having a new home and starting her own business. With a new home, her family will no longer be exposed to the harsh conditions that have made them ill, and Widly will be better equipped to provide for them.

Together, we can fulfill Widly’s dreams of new home and safety for her young family.
